SYLVARES™ is a Pure Monomer Resin and AMS Phenolic Resin. It’s compatible with various polymers, including high and low vinyl acetate EVA, acrylics, SBR, SIS, and SBS. This allows formulation flexibility in hot-melt, water-based, and solvent-based adhesives.

SYLVARES™ 520 AMS PHENOLIC RESIN
SYLVARES 520 AMS (alpha methyl styrene) Phenolic resin is a water white aromatic hydrocarbon resin with good oxidative stability. The phenolic component improves compatibility with high-polarity polymers. The low Tg of SYLVARES 520 resin improves elasticity at low temperature.

This product can be used to tackify natural rubber, synthetic elastomer, and some polyolefin adhesives. The aliphatic nature of this product provides a balance of tack, peel, cohesive strength, and heat resistance by limiting interaction with the styrenic end-blocks of a block copolymer.
SYLVARES™ 6100 Styrenated Terpene
SYLVARES™ 6100 tackifier is a light color, low odor, heat stable aromatic modified terpene resin, which provides an excellent balance of properties when compounded with styrenic block copolymers or ethylene vinyl acetate copolymers.

SYLVARES™ TP 96 Terpene Phenol
SYLVARES™ TP 96 resin is a low softening point terpene phenolic resin having broad polymer compatibility. This thermoplastic resin is designed to tackify hot melt and pressure sensitive adhesives providing improved tack, peel and flexibility for EVA, SIS and acrylic based systems. When formulated as a co-resin, this product will significantly improve performance and properties of styrenic block copolymers based adhesives with limited impact on heat resistance.

It has a narrower molecular weight distribution, which improves compatibility with some adhesive elastomers.
