Blow Molded Products
Blow molded containers come in many shapes and sizes and package a variety of products from household and industrial chemicals to syrup and milk.
Kraton® polymers are suited to the demanding needs of the blow molded container. Whether you need to compatabilize a regrind stream for a multilayer barrier bottle, give a personal care item an appealing aspect such as soft touch, or provide clarity and impact to an institutionally sized food container there is a Kraton polymer suited to the application.
Flexible Packaging
The flexible packaging market is the fastest growing packaging segment. Factors such as lower freight costs, appeal of standup pouches, and the convenience of reclosable features are contributing to this growth. Today, flexible packages are made from converting films which are complex structures consisting of many materials in blends and coextrusions.
Over the past few years the evolution of materials and coextrusion technologies has enabled innovations such as combining clarity and barrier as well as retort ability into flexible package designs. Kraton® polymers can be used in these structures in a variety of ways. They provide clarity, toughness, elasticity, and compatibility. They can also be used to provide adhesion between layers or to alter the rates of transmission of gases such as oxygen and carbon dioxide as well as moisture.
