CENTURY™ Products

CENTURY™ Isostearic & Stearic Acids

CENTURY™ fatty acids are useful in a wide range of industrial applications including metalworking fluids, base oils and general lubricant applications.  The use of these product ranges can be found in the long carbon chain (C18) and acid function of the carboxyl group (COOH).

CENTURY fatty acid products each have a unique mixture of branched and straight-chain saturated C18 fatty acids and differ in unsaturation level and viscosity.

CENTURY isostearic and stearic acids address environmental drivers and deliver performance to metalworking fluids, base oils and general lubricant applications.

Product name Origin Product description

CENTURY™ 1105

USA

An isostearic fatty acid with a high content of branched acids, making it a liquid product. Its  low level of unsaturation delivers excellent oxidative stability.

CENTURY™ 1107

USA

This isostearic acid is of particular value for more demanding applications, such as high-performance lubricant additives, personal care and metalworking.

CENTURY™ 1224

USA

A saturated fatty acid product containing approximately 70 percent C18 stearic acid, with typically 23 percent methyl-branched C18 saturated acids.

CENTURY™ D1

USA

A solid special fatty acid product that contains both saturated and unsaturated C18 fatty acids. Branched chain iso-oleic acids constitute the main portion, with virtually no polyunsaturated fatty acids.

CENTURY™ MO5

USA

A semi-solid special fatty acid product that contains both saturated and unsaturated C18 fatty acids. Branched chain iso-oleic acids constitute the main portion, with virtually no polyunsaturated fatty acids.
