Kraton™ polymers are formulated to manufacture a wide range of hot melt and solvent based industrial adhesives that range from non pressure-sensitive, to pressure sensitive, that adhere to a variety of substrates including paper, cardboard, polymer coated substrates, plastics, polyolefins, fabric, and foam, and that are used in applications including automotive interior assembly, appliance assembly, furniture assembly, shoe assembly, freezer grade packaging, bottle labeling, bookbinding, and credit card attachment.

Kraton polymers can be formulated to produce a wide range of hot melt and solovent based industrial adhesives that range from non pressure-sensitive, to pressure sensitive, that adhere to a variety of substrates including paper, cardboard, polymer coated substrates, plastics, polyolefins, fabric, and foam, and that exhibit high performance. Some attributes of industrial adhesives formulated with Kraton polymers include:

Kraton polymers can be formulated to produce adhesives with a wide range of useful properties utilizing resins, plasticizers, fillers, antioxidants, etc. These adhesives are versatile because they can be applied either as a hot melt or from solution. They adhere well to non-porous substrates and are more flexible and elastic down to freezer temperatures than hot melt adhesives prepared from polymers such as EVA, PP, and PE.
Product Assembly: Hot melts containing Kraton polymers are used in a variety of applications. They are used to bond carpets and fabrics to substrates in car interiors. They can be formulated to give low application temperature book binding and magazine assembly adhesives with excellent page pull-out resistance and lay flat performance. They can be formulated to give peelable bonds between most paper and polyethylene and polypropylene substrates for use in bonding credit cards or brochures to various substrates. They are used to assemble a wide variety of other products including appliances, furniture, and shoes.
Packaging Applications: Hot melts containing Kraton polymers remain flexible even at freezer temperature, and adhere to a variety of substrates including plastics, paper, coated paper, and cardboard. They are used in packaging applications ranging from plastic bottle labeling to case and carton sealing.
