KRATON SHOWCASING POLYMERS FOR PACKAGING INNOVATIONS AT FOODTECH PACKTECH
HOUSTON, TX. – SEPTEMBER 25, 2006 – Kraton Polymers LLC (Kraton), a leading global performance polymer producer, announced today that it plans to exhibit at the Foodtech Packtech Conference to be held October 17th thru October 19th in Auckland, New Zealand.
This event represents an excellent opportunity for its local Asia Pacific customers to learn more about Kraton in this expanding market. Kraton will showcase some polymers for packaging innovations which focus on modifying polypropylene while maintaining clarity, improving impact strength, toughness, flexibility and other characteristics like oxygen transmission rates and heat seal initiation temperatures.

During the show, Kraton’s Asia Pacific Packaging Market Manager, Vincent Conserva, will speak daily at a seminar where he will describe the performance benefits of new product grades developed at its world class research and development facilities in Europe and in the United States. Mr. Conserva’s lecture will be held at 11:00 a.m. daily during the conference.
Kraton has built a strong presence in the Asia Pacific region over the past several years and is taking the next step in terms of growth. Over the next several years, Kraton intends to grow its position and will commit the necessary resources, technology and capital to that end.
